Sustainability

Sustainable design is always a priority at SPACES by Katherine. By reducing carbon emissions, energy and waste, conserving water, prioritizing safer materials, and lowering exposure to toxins, we build a better future for all of our clients. When designing spaces, we look for Cradle to Cradle certification in products, specify products with low VOCs and other harmful toxins, prioritize sustainable sourcing, and seek to increase efficiency within our designs. We know that buildings account for almost 40% of global energy-related CO2 and we want to do our part to tackle climate change. Energy efficient spaces reduce pollution and improve outdoor air quality. This not only saves our clients money over time, but ensures that we are doing our part to protect our environment.
